Yves Theriault, PhD, President and Dean, Founder
Mr. Theriault founded The California Institute for Performance Management in December 2009 to capitalize on the use of Project Management Methodologies to improve organizational performance. He has an extensive background in both business and technology to include: life science, chemistry, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, system engineering, portfolio, program and project management, leadership, strategy implementation, and sales and marketing. He holds 20 years of experience in the field of project management and performed in industries of all types and sizes.
Mr. Theriault is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and holds a PhD in Chemistry from University of Montreal, a Certificate in Project Management from University of California at San Diego, and a PMP certificate from the Project management Institute (PMI). He is an active member of PMI and teaches within the realm of the Project Management certificate programs at University of California at San DIego. He also holds CSET credentials to teach Mathematics in the state of California.

Roger Mandel, Principal Associate, Advisory Board
Mr. Mandel has extensive expertise in managing earned value throughout the execution of large projects. Specifically he has managed the financial development, execution and planning for future and current production and developmental programs. He monitors performance against published schedule and budget plans and identifies variances utilizing American National Standards Institutes (ANSI) Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA)- 748-A procedures while developing unique analysis formats for management action reports. He has been involved as project manager for laser, optics, communication technologies, aerospace products, and software development. He currently holds secret clearance from the US government.
He holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from University of Phoenix, San Diego and a Bachelor of Science on Business Administration from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA. He is also certified Total Management instructor from the US Navy. He teaches project management classes at University of California at San Diego. He also received a professional designation in contract management from the United States Air Force, Air Force Institutes of Technology, School of Systems and Logistics and the National Contract Management Association.

Alexander J. Mandel, Principal Associate, Advisory Board
Mr. Mandel has an extensive background in the field of Information Technologies and has performed at all level of IT product life cycle to include: IT project management, system development and deployment, field application and support, and management of global sales and marketing teams. From 1995 to 2007, he worked for large and small IT oriented companies to include Toshiba America Information Systems, Dynastik CyberServices, Engage Technologies Inc., BlueFish Solutions, KUSI Television/McKinnon Broadcastiong, and Logic Innovations, Inc.
Mr. Mandel holds a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from California Polytechnic University, Pomona. He is a trained Microsoft Solution Expert and is proficient with MS Project and other MS Enterperise solutions. He also masters PRIMAVERA Project Managaement software and associated solutions.
